These Terms govern your use of the hosted Caddie AI service at app.caddie.careers (“the Service”). By creating an account or using the Service you agree to them. If you don't agree, don't use the Service — you're always free to run the open-source engine yourself instead (see §9).
Caddie AI reads job postings, scores how well each one fits your CV, and drafts a tailored CV, cover letter and screening answers using AI. It is a drafting and research aid, not an application service.
You need an account (email/password or Google sign-in) to use the Service. You're responsible for keeping your credentials secure and for all activity under your account. You must be old enough to form a binding contract in your country of residence to sign up.
You keep ownership of everything you upload or generate — your CV, cover letter, job descriptions, preferences, and drafts (“Your Content”). You give us only the limited right to store and process Your Content as needed to run the Service, including sending it to our AI provider to generate scores and drafts (see the Privacy Policy). You're responsible for making sure Your Content doesn't infringe anyone else's rights and is accurate.
Scores, drafts, research notes and answers are generated by AI models and may be incomplete, out of date, or wrong. Caddie AI is built to avoid inventing facts about you — where it lacks information it leaves a visible placeholder rather than guessing — but you still must read, fact-check and edit every draft before you use it. We don't guarantee any fit score, draft, or outcome (including interviews or offers).

We may suspend or terminate accounts that violate this section.
New accounts get a limited free trial (a capped number of scans and drafts). Continued use beyond the trial requires a paid subscription, billed and processed by Stripe. You can view your plan, update your card, or cancel any time from the Billing page, which opens Stripe's customer portal. Cancelling stops future billing; fees already charged are non-refundable except where required by law. We may change prices or trial limits going forward, with notice for existing subscribers.
The Service relies on third parties — an AI routing provider (OpenRouter) and the model providers behind it, Google (optional sign-in), Stripe (billing), and the job boards/ATS platforms whose postings you fetch. Your use of those integrations is also subject to their own terms, and we aren't responsible for their availability, content, or accuracy — including the accuracy of job postings themselves.
Caddie AI's underlying engine is published under the MIT License, which governs your rights to that code. These Terms apply only to your use of the hosted Service — if you self-host instead, only the MIT License applies, and none of the account, billing or Service-availability terms here do. The Caddie AI name and branding for the hosted Service are not covered by the MIT License.
We aim to keep the Service running reliably but don't guarantee uninterrupted access — we may modify, suspend, or discontinue features (or the Service) at any time. Where practical, we'll give notice ahead of material changes.
You can stop using the Service and close your account at any time (email us — see §13). We may suspend or terminate your access if you breach these Terms, misuse the Service, or don't pay for an active subscription.
The Service is provided “as is”, without warranties of any kind, express or implied. To the maximum extent permitted by law, we are not liable for indirect, incidental, or consequential damages, or for any job outcome (or lack of one) connected to your use of the Service. Nothing here limits liability that can't legally be limited.
We may update these Terms from time to time; we'll update the date above and, for material changes, notify existing account holders by email. Questions: support@caddie.careers
